Text on the layouts reads:
This year was packed full of fun! I met THE Chester Cheetah
at the MLK March in January (SA has the largest one in the country). In February,
I participated in a Flash Mob at HEB were we danced the Cupid Shuffle and tried
to break a world record. In March, Jay Tope with Radio San Antonio did a live
broadcast from the March of Dimes and I got to talk to his audience – it was
such an amazing experience. April brought my 4th March for Babies and
FIESTA! Had lunch with one of my best friends in May and went to a family party
in June with my new friend, Catherine. In July I traveled to Ft Lauderdale for
our annual summer staff meeting and had the honor of speaking to over 600 March
of Dimes employees; it was a humbling experience. After that, I flew to South
Padre to enjoy the wedding of my friends, Griselda and Auggie. The very next
weekend, Ashley’s bridesmaids threw her a baby shower. We all enjoyed our mini-reunion!
August brought another trip to Florida with good friends. We
visited Miami and the Keys, went shopping, swimming, snorkeling, exploring and
had 4 days of FUN! I also got to celebrate birthday number 98 with my
Grandmama. In September, we got our new pink coaches shirt for USA Fit (my
marathon training group) and I enjoyed a night out with my friend, PK and her
family. In October, I rescued a cute little fur ball named Charlie and she has
been such a delight. I also had fun at several Halloween parties with good
friends. In November I ran my 3rd half marathon in honor of 97
friends and family members who have battled cancer. I also got to spend a(nother)
evening at the Moontower Saloon with several good friends from high school. I
had a great time at the Chamber’s annual gala in December where it was
announced that I will Chair the ambassador committee next year. My sister and
her boys came for Christmas and we had many adventures including a trip to
SeaWorld, an evening on the Riverwalk, movies and a trip to Toys R Us. I
enjoyed several nights out with good friends and rang in the New Year in Kyle.
