Heartfelt Thanks

Today I worked a LONG time on the February edition layout of a monthly newsletter my team puts together. Every month, I design a couple 1 or 2 page newsletters, but I haven't worked on the design for the larger (7 pages) one in a long time. It has a Valentine theme so I've been in a lovely mood which inspired this creation that I call "heartfelt thanks". Enjoy!

Light

I snapped this photo while browsing around a boutique in Dallas this past weekend. There’s something about a big, brass bowl full of oversized light bulbs that just seems to grab your attention.

McKinney Avenue Trolley

We had a great time in Dallas this past weekend. We visited our good friends, Keith and Carrie, and some of SD's family. These pics are from our ride on the McKinney Avenue Trolley. We took the Dart (a train) from Plano into downtown and then rode this trolley out to the West End (a posh shopping district). We walked around and looked at all the shops and buildings, we found a neat little sports bar and had yummy burgers for lunch!

Girl's Night In

Sounds like a digiscrap kit, doesn't it? Maybe I'll make one! Anyway - I was browsing through my pics and found this one of Gris and I at Ashley's for a girl's night of movies. One movie they rented (and I refused to watch) was SAW II, so I put a pic of Ashley on the cover. Don’t need to look at that gruesome thing!

Butterflies in Color

The weather outside is awful. It's cold and there has been a thick fog in the air ALL day long. I'm wishing for some lovely sunshine and so I created this picture to brighten the day!

My New "Do"

Yesterday was a holiday so I decided to make good use of the day off from work and get a new hair style. I told the stylist that I wanted something very dramatic. We went about 2 shades darker than my normal color and then added big, CHUNKY, platinum highlights in the front and smaller ones in the back. I am loving this new look. It’s so much fun!
