I needed a page to coordinate with the one I designed of K'Lynn at this joint b-day party. So, here's Olivia playing with a noise maker she discovered in her treat bag.
The paper and elements on this page are from my Lavender Princess kit. Have a great weekend and happy Leap Day! I hope you all get to do something special on this day that only comes once every 4 years.

Shoelace Template
I recently purchased shoelace “rub-ons” for my traditional scrapbook and I loved them so much, I thought it would be neat to create them for my digital scrapbook as well. So, today I made this template with a shoelace border. Templates allow digiscrappers to drop their photos, papers and embellishments into a design to make a quick layout. They also help inspire people who may be struggling with setting up a page. Let me know what you think of this template and if you’d like to use it so I can send it to you.

Austin
Here's a picture from my recent trip to Austin. The journal says:
"Shawn-David and I took a mini vacation to Austin on February 17. We visited Barton Creek Mall (a place I used to LOVE) and spent a lot of time exploring all the changes in my hometown. We also walked around Town Lake and took this picture by propping my camera in a tree – hence the funny angle! Then we had dinner at Spaghetti Warehouse and drinks with friends at the Six lounge and stayed the night at the Holiday Inn Town Lake. "
I put together this LO using the Whimsical Wonderland papers by AKay and a template I created. Did you notice the little top part of the capitol building in the left corner? I got that from a picture SD took while I was driving!

A Mother's Heart
Wow! I can't believe it's been so long since I've posted. Sorry for neglecting you! This was a holiday weekend and my hubby and I took a mini vacation. There have been a lot of beautiful, free Valentine's Day Kits on the digi scrap sites I like to visit. I downloaded this one called, Romantic Kit by Helena Monteiro Designs and just HAD to use it. I generally like to design my own kits, but this was so pretty that I couldn't resist! These pics are of my sister-in-law and her kiddos at Christmas.

"Texting Is My Life"
I completed this page today for Rose’s Texas Two Step template challenge at Make It Scrappy . The paper and elements are from my “Guitar Angel” kit and the journaling reads:
Our cousin, Amanda (like most teenagers these days) spends a lot of time “texting” her friends. I snapped this photo of her in action on Christmas Day, 2007.

A Reminder of My Dad
I put together this design today and the journaling reads: I’ve heard it said that if you pay close attention, you will sometimes receive little signs that remind you of a loved one who has passed away. Recently I was rushing off to meet my mom for dinner and I happened to look down and see something that stopped me in my tracks. I just had to take this picture. You see, most of my life, my dad smoked this type of cigarette. It was almost a year to the date that we found out my Dad was sick and here, in the most unlikely place, was a reminder of him. I felt so blessed.
*I added the "daddy" to the picture as part of the design.

Pirates
This weekend I finally had the opportunity to spend some time scrapbooking (with real paper, stickers, markers, brads, scissors, etc...). It was so much fun! Here are two of the pages I scrapped from my trip to Minnesota this past October. It as my newphew's 2nd b-day and we all dressed up as pirates and went to the Park After Dark at the Mall of America for trick-or-treating and rides.
